1) This project aims to build a large Greenway and public space ranging from the Vieux Carre to Lakeview. The first step is to build a safe, continuous trail and open space amenity from Basin Street (by Armstrong Park) to Canal Boulevard. The Greenway will link new and existing parks, playgrounds, recreational facilities, and community centers, encouraging active living and promoting public health.

2) Jay will work to leverage public investment in the Greenway to stimulate trail-oriented development and reinvestment in the neighborhoods along the Corridor. In doing so, Jay will contribute to providing a more sustainable and livable city by encouraging trail-oriented development.
