Jay Batt Gains Clean Sweep of Major Endorsements
Jay Batt has gathered three important organizational endorsements this week in his election campaign for Orleans City Council District A.
The Alliance for Good Government, the Forum for Equality and the Greater New Orleans Republicans have all united in their support for Jay.
The endorsements were received after a series of debates and in-depth interviews of all the candidates for District A by the groups, and reflect the organizations’ determination that Jay Batt is best qualified to serve the citizens of the District and the city.
The varied interests and different political and philosophical backgrounds of each organization reflects Jay’s ability to bring diverse groups together in building a consensus for greater New Orleans for years to come.
“I am honored and humbled to receive the support of three of the most respected organizations involved in the electoral process,’ said Batt. “Their support shows that regardless of our differences, as Orleanians we are united in seeking what’s best for the future of our city and District A.
